Power Portraits:

What do you notice when you look at a photograph of someone in their power? I notice the eyes. They reflect joy, passion, confidence, groundedness, and strength. They pull me in and make me want to ask questions.

This is my goal when I photograph people: to capture their authentic power. This task originally seemed daunting. But I've discovered that when someone is doing what they love, they can't help but be drawn into that place of passion and focus. The images are always striking and compelling.
